Terms for FocusMate

Effective date: August 27, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of FocusMate (the "App") provided by FocusMate Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

Free tier

Free use includes up to 10 active tasks and 3 focus sessions per day. Limits are enforced in the App.

Subscriptions, Lifetime, and free trial

Unlimited tasks, advanced AI, body doubling, analytics, custom themes, data export, and related features require FocusMate Premium via an active subscription or a Lifetime license. See in-app "Premium features" for the current list.
New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial (introductory offer) when available for the selected Monthly or Yearly plan.
After the trial, your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase for permanent Premium access. It does not renew and does not include a free trial.
If you already have an auto-renewing subscription and want Lifetime, turn off auto-renewal in Apple Account → Subscriptions first. The current paid period is not refunded; Lifetime is charged immediately.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Prices are shown in the App and App Store at the time of purchase; final prices are set in App Store Connect. Current App Store prices: Monthly $0.99, Yearly $9.99, Lifetime $29.99.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account → Subscriptions, or via Manage Subscription in the App.

In-app donations

The App may show address-only QR codes for voluntary crypto donations. Donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and do not unlock premium features. Transactions occur on-chain outside the App.

Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement

Unless we provide a custom EULA that supersedes it, your use of the App is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for the content you create in the App and for complying with applicable laws and third-party rights.

On-device processing

Coaching, task parsing, OCR, and focus features run on your device. We do not host your tasks for processing. Optional iCloud sync stores data only in your private iCloud container.

Disclaimer — not a medical device

FocusMate is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat ADHD or any other condition. It is a productivity and wellness tool. If you are struggling, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the App.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version at this URL and updating the effective date.
